Chalk Art

I have to admit, our greeting cards may be one of my favorite "sections" of the store. There is something to say about giving the perfect card, and the two lines we carry (Compendium & Curly Girl), have hit the proverbial nail on the head.  In today's fast-paced digital world of emails and texts, paper cards have become increasingly special.

Curly Girl has always designed beautiful, well-written cards, so it was no surprise when I saw their Spring 2013 line that I was, once again, blown away.

Leigh Standley's new "Just Our Type" collection features cards and wall art captured from her own chalk illustrations. Here is her description of the line:

"The chalkboard series is near and dear to my heart because it really had me flexing my typography muscles! Inspired by the recent trend of chalkboard art and the sheer temporary-ness of it all, I hand drew each of these on little chalkboards...I loved the idea of making something temporary and turning it into something more permanent."

We are carrying 8 styles in the greeting cards and 1 style in the wall art (a 11x19 poster). Here is a sneak peek at three of the designs:
