Happy Halloween!

We hope everyone is ready for a fun & safe Halloween. Here in Culpeper, it has become quite the big deal. If you've never attended the Downtown Trick-or-Treat, you are truly missing out. Each year, the Downtown hosts around 2,000 trick-or-treaters. The Culpeper Police are kind enough to close Davis street to provide a safe, car-free zone for the kids, and merchants are armed with candy, and ready for the mobs. It's one of the many events that makes our community great.  Here are the details:

Downtown Merchant Trick-or-Treat Event
Today, Wednesday, October 31
5:00pm – 6:00pm

This year, the Culpeper Police Department and Culpeper Renaissance have teamed up on a special project. Together, they are providing Halloween Safety Bags for the first 1,000 kids. These bags have some great safety tips listed on the front, to make sure everyone is safe (plus, they're reflective, so everyone will be seen in the dark). Uniformed Policeman will be passing the bags out at the top of Davis Street (between Frost Cafe and Pepperberries).

So, if you're around this year, stop by Davis Street. Get some candy and take in all the great costumes. We hope to see you tonight!
