Picking favorites

I try to make it a practice not to choose favorite items in the store (at least, I don't publicly admit to my favorites), but that changes this week. The folks at Yesterday Reclaimed dropped of their latest creation, and it's taking home the award for my favorite piece of furniture. Meet the Sid Vicious End Table:

This table is the result of a marriage between a vintage wooden spool top and the upper roller from a corn harvester, and I'm so happy they got together.

Yesterday Reclaimed described it best. According to them, this table is "named after the infamous punk rocker, Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols, the Sid Vicious Side Table is sure to make a statement in any room. Made from the upper roller of a John Deere model 3800 Forage Harvester, these side tables are both functional and edgy. The steel roller has been left intact and welded to a plow disk for support, then cleaned and clear-coated. The table top is formed from reclaimed wooden spool providing warmth and texture against the steel base. Now just imagine if Sid chopped corn like he chopped guitars?"

Don't you just love it? Well, if you do, you better hurry down to the store and pick it up, because this guy isn't going to last long. Heck, we'll be lucky if he's still here on Monday.
